How transfers work at Hild Arms
Transferring a firearm to our shop is straightforward. Here's the process, our policies, and what to expect.
Contact us before shipment
Call us at 570-412-6010 or email Info@hildarms.com before the firearm ships to our store. We can't process a transfer if we don't know it's coming. Have your transferring FFL provide our information.
We receive and log the firearm
Once the firearm arrives, we'll log it into our books and contact you by phone or email to schedule pickup. No firearm leaves the shop until the transfer is complete and properly documented.
You complete the transfer in person
Bring valid PA ID. We'll process the PICS background check and transfer paperwork. The firearm goes home with you the same day, pending approval.
Important Policies
Firearm purchases and transfers are limited to PA residents in compliance with state and federal law.
We do not accept ammunition deliveries shipped to the store. Please order ammo to your home address.
Once your firearm is ready for pickup, you have 10 days to come in and complete the transfer. After that, a $15 per day storage fee applies. After 30 days, the firearm is considered abandoned and becomes shop property.
Firearms can only be transferred to the person named in the original shipment. No exceptions.
If a background check is denied, the customer is responsible for all costs to return the firearm to the original transferring FFL.
